The pots I made during the winter of 2007 were fired in an Alpine updraft kiln located at Waubonsee Community College, in Sugar Grove, Illinois. My good friend, Doug Jeppesen, has built an impressive ceramics program at Waubonsee, including what is probably the best array of wood kilns at any community college in the United States. There is an Anagama, an Anagama Style Tube, a Bourry Box Train and a Barrel Wood/Soda. I was resident artist there during the winter of 2007.
